How hydrogen peroxide works
3% hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is given as an intravenous drip that takes 1 ½ hours. During this time H2O2 is broken down into water (H2O) and oxygen. This singlet oxygen functions in the blood by:

  • Destroying or inhibiting the growth of anaerobic organisms such as certain pathogenic or disease-causing bacteria and viruses. Good bacteria such as L. acidophilus are aerobic and are therefore unaffected.
  • Transforming cellular waste products and industrial toxins into inert substances so that the body can metabolize and eliminate them. Hydrogen peroxide also has been shown to have the following effects in the body:
  • Peripheral vasodilator and coronary vasodilator therefore increasing circulation to the extremities and heart. • Aids in dissolving cholesterol and calcium deposits in blood vessels.
  • Regulates mitochondrial membrane transport. Mitochondria are the “powerhouses of our cells” and are responsible for making ATP, a source of energy for our body.
  • Aids in production of ATP in the body. ATP is stored in cells, particularly muscles, and the cells can only perform work by the breakdown of ATP. Chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia may be the result of altered mitochondrial and ATP function which hydrogen peroxide therapy aids.
  • Anticoagulant.
  • Modulator of the immune system. Stimulates the production of white blood cells.
  • Functions as an anti-inflammatory or pro-inflammatory, anti-oxidant or oxidant depending upon the environment in which it is generated. I.V. hydrogen peroxide is one of most powerful natural therapies available due to its incredible number of beneficial uses in the body.
